There were two reported incidents in the last few months from


us pilots that said when they went to engage autopilot the plane went into a nose down descend and they had to get it out of autopilot quickly to get control of the plane. The report I heard on ethiopia was that the pilots could not get it out of autopilot and the plane autopilot thought the plane was in a stall condition and that led to the crash.
